Magnolia Cottage is a beautifully refurbished cottage situated in the heart of Somerset’s Mendip Hills and lies between the beautiful cities of Bath and Wells. An ideal base to explore the delights of Somerset, the cottage is close to Bath; Wells; Bristol; Cheddar; Glastonbury; Longleat; many beautiful National Trust properties and several steam railway lines.
Wonderfully light and spacious, the cottage has a feeling of serenity, with views across the cottage garden with its magnificent Magnolia tree to the fields and hills beyond. The exceptionally large master bedroom and second bedroom both have luxurious 6 foot wide super king beds which can also be arranged as twins.
Stylish décor with Laura Ashley fabrics, sumptuous beds with crisp cotton linens and luxury towels await all guests.
Walkers and cyclists will find a selection of laminated local area Ordnance Survey maps and secure complimentary bicycle storage is available on request. For environmentally friendly guests, there is also a free electric car charging point.
Guests with walking difficulties will find the cottage ideal - one level from the car (small step into kitchen), grab rails in the shower and next to the toilet, and all rooms are extremely spacious for easy manoeuvring.
Well equipped with its High Definition TV, DVD player, PVR with a wide selection of films, inclusive free WiFi, DAB radio, iPod docking station, selection of games and DVDs, even the Great British weather will not spoil your stay. There is also a hairdryer, iron and board, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and washing line plus a wealth of local information and leaflets and a small library.

Sip afternoon tea in the warm and sunny courtyard. In winter, light the log burner and curl up with one of the library of novels after a crisp winter walk and country pub lunch on the Mendips.
Children are warmly welcomed; there is a highchair and travel cot, a courtyard enclosed with a gate, a fireguard for the log burner plus a selection of toys on request. |
